About

iloveepub.com exists because ebook files are small, personal, and awkward — and almost every tool for working with them wants you to upload them to a server first.

We think that is backwards. An EPUB is just a small ZIP archive of HTML chapters. There is no technical reason a website cannot compress, merge, split, inspect, or convert one entirely on your own device. So that is what we build: every tool on this site runs 100% in your browser. Your files never leave your computer, and nothing is ever uploaded.

What we make

The toolbox is growing. Today it includes:

  • Compress EPUB — shrink oversized ebooks without touching their text
  • Merge EPUB — combine multiple volumes into one file
  • Split EPUB — break a book into per-chapter files

Coming next: EPUB to PDF conversion, PDF to EPUB, and an in-browser EPUB reader. The blog explains the formats themselves in plain English — no jargon, no fluff.

Why "no upload" matters

Not every file is a public-domain classic. Ebooks can contain personal annotations, sensitive documents, or licensed content you paid for. Sending them to an unknown server for processing means trusting that server's retention policy, security, and honesty — for a task that your own device can do in seconds.

The no-upload principle is also why the site has no accounts, no file quotas, and no "delete after 24 hours" fine print. There is nothing to delete, because there is nothing stored. You can read the exact claims in our privacy policy.

Who we are

This site is built and maintained by a small independent team. It is a sister site to e-ink.me, a bilingual ebook translation service. The two sites are separate products: e-ink.me translates books, iloveepub.com works on files — and iloveepub.com's tools never send your files to e-ink.me or anywhere else.

The site is supported by advertising and by links to our sister site — never by selling data, because we do not have any to sell.
